Wash the case and check the fabric before choosing a project. Sound fabric can be used for storage or sewing; thin or damaged areas may be better cut into cloths. You do not need a new use for every piece.
Store spare bedding
Fold a matching sheet set into the case, or use it to gather spare covers. Label the contents and keep the bundle dry. This uses the case without cutting or sewing it.
Make a travel laundry bag
Use an intact case to separate worn clothes in your luggage. Keep damp items out of it until they can be dried or washed. Empty and wash the case when you unpack.
Try a simple sewing project
Measure the usable fabric and choose a small project, such as a drawstring bag, from instructions suited to your experience. Allow fabric for seams and the opening before cutting. Check that the finished size will fit what you want to store.
Cut cloths from damaged fabric
If part of the case is worn, use the sound sections for cleaning cloths. Follow the surface and cleaner instructions, and keep cleaning cloths separate from bedding.
Keep usable covers as spares
An intact cover that still fits may be more useful in rotation than in a new project. Follow its care label and store it with the pillow or bedding it belongs to.
